Sunday Morning - Melrose Trading Post

All the trends were present at the Melrose Trading Post. Have you seen Alexander Wang's backpack for Spring/Summer 2012?

Any Sunday involving a trip to the flea market is a good Sunday! Particularly when I get to enjoy it with good friends and we all find something amazing to go home with... My buy was so fantastic (and much more weather-appropriate) I wore it right out of the "shop" - after probably giving a few people a free peep show!

I can't wait to wear my vintage fur this winter...
I just loved her rugged-chic look. Her purchase coordinates with her outfit so perfectly! You can just imagine what her house looks like...
If you are trying to achieve that boho vibe in your home, macrame something is de rigeur! I've encountered so many vintage macrame 'how to' books recently and have been tempted to make my own. It would have to be some crazy piece of chunky jewelry with giant beads, my home is everything but boho...
This booth was so cohesive and so beautifully merchandised, it really stood out. The vendors were so sweet and stylish too! They make beautiful wood lighting and jewelry among other things. You can shop their look on Etsy.
One of the vendors from Vintage Homegrown - love her paint-splattered cowboy boots!
...really liking large button earrings again
sea of photos - boxes of memories...
... spotted this stylish lady in Lita's. Her name is Whitney and she just moved to my neighborhood - we can always use another stylish resident! Hope I see her again in my haunts...
And now for la piece de resistance! The fabulous 50's dress I switched into mid-shopping! It's a teeny bit loose in the bodice but nothing my seamstress can't handle. I just adore the color, high neck, and Moroccan print! It fits beautifully into my collection of 50's skirts! So excited...

As you may have guessed - I'm really having fun with Gifs! If you are at all curious about learning here are two links I found helpful: a Youtube tutorial and this site explains how to post the Gif in your blog post.

Hope everyone had a great weekend - would love to hear all about it in your comments! My series Saturday to Saturday will return next week (I forgot to take photographs a couple days last week - boo)

Oooh! I'm LOVING Whitney's look--and yours too! Both are stylish but casual at the same time. LUVIT.

ALSO. Ugh. I so wish we did flea markets up here. I've never actually been to a proper one and posts like yours make me so envious! And all that fur. Yum. I'm not happy it's fall at all, but at least I'll get to wear my fur again soon...

P.S. Thanks for your vote for the POTY! :D Glad you enjoyed the post. Sorry, though, to hear that your Targets were sold out! Even though I got most of the stuff I wanted, I still keep checking mine in case they possibly decided to restock. Oh. And what sheets were you looking for? I might have a set on hand that I don't want.
