Second Blog Award - One Lovely Blog Award

Wow! Thank you Fifi of Beverly Hills for your consideration!  lepetitfifi is one of the blogs I visit daily for beautiful images and inspiration. She's also a fellow LA blogger so I've gotta represent, you know?! So here goes - seven random things:

ONE: I love eating flowers as much as I love smelling them and arranging them. I also love drinking them! Saint Germain is made with wild elderflower blossoms picked in the Alps and is super-spectacular with champagne! For the ultimate girly cocktail: add one shot St Germain to Tiffany crystal champagne glass and top with champagne. Repeat. 

TWO: Lavender ice cream. Correction. Lavender ice cream from Mashti Malone's. Look out for a future post on this place. You will D-I-E! It's insanely exotic. Did I mention I love floral flavors? I know this isn't much of a random fact and now we are getting really redundant considering my first two "random" facts involve ingesting flowers but this photo is my beautiful sister eating lavender ice cream and I just really love a good aromanosh!

THREE: I am a proud aunty. Talia (the ham in the beret) and Aria (the little lady in the playdough jewelry) are my two favorite people in the whole wide world. They are true girly-girls who love lip gloss and dress up and dancing to Lady Gaga. So hilarious and smart they are... When Aria was learning to pronounce my name - which is Angela - she blurted out Zsa Zsa and it's been Zsa Zsa ever since!

FOUR: Lanvin from the 70's is another one of my obsessions. I'm slowly amassing a collection... I say slowly because it's neither cheap nor easy to find... If I could own these two dresses my life would be complete. Sort of...

FIVE: I have kept a journal or diary, as I used to call it, since I was ten. I suppose that's why blogging feels so organic to me... You are looking at piles of emotions (literally!) spanning decades... 

SIX: So not random at this point. Four words: rose scented peach pie. You get it. This is my friend Darren the Chef's chef-d'oeuvre. He's been featured many times on my blog and can be found at the Silver Lake Farmer's Market Tuesday nights and Saturdays and at the Atwater Farmer's Market Sundays.

SEVEN: Little Dragon - my favorite band at the moment. Little Dragon's music and lead vocalist Yukimi Nagano's collaborations have been dominating my playlists for years now but their recent release Ritual Union has bumped them up my virtual charts to number one! For a good time check them out!

Okay, now I was asked to award fifteen bloggers but I'm shooting for five tonight. This is the fun part! I'm going to do something unusual and dole out the awards in three segments of five. Is that okay? I hope it's not manipulating the rules too much... So many good and deserving bloggers out there... but here's the first group:

Constance of afrenchinlosangeles - I get a kick out of seeing LA through her eyes... and she's lovely

goodbadnfab - not sure of her name but I love supporting my fellow Angelenos
