Dressing the entrance to your home seems to have much in common with putting an outfit together. When you consider its importance - how it is the first impression before going a little deeper into someone's personal space - it's no wonder there is so much thought and personal aesthetic considered in these eclectic Los Feliz residences. Architectural styles are as diverse as this LA community, and sculptures, reliefs, hardware and the like serve as accessories.
My point exactly!
How do you feel about these parallels? Do you think your home communicates in a similar way to your style of dress? It's so mysterious to me - my mother taught me not to judge a book by its cover... What do these entrances say about their occupants?

I love the eclectic styles of the architecture spanish hacienda style (reminds me of my grandmothers house), rectilinear modern, gothic, classical. In my neighborhood the homes are cookie cutters not good. I love your weater have a similar with mesh look to it in black also, and the brooches on the belt great idea. I agree my home does reflect my style in the way I decorate it and the colors I choose.

I guess you're right. A home is supposed to reflect its own since that's where he lives and spends most of his time. You're supposed to decorate your home according to your taste and your tastes define you.
As a college student I still live with my parents but I can't wait to move out to decorate my house !
As for your mom's value. She is absolutely right, but I would also say that a cover is supposed to represent the book. It's like the look, the clothes you wear, you choose them according to your taste therefore they represent you. Yo'ure just not supposed to judge.4

I think an entrance to your home says a lot about who you are. I love that they range from so intricate to extremely simplistic. I love house 2226, the elephant detail, and the tiles!

You're right about the importance of an entrance -- it introduces people to a house's entire style. And, yes, I certainly see the analogy to clothing.
Amazing photo's, and really like your top! Very Isabel Marant

Thanks for this post, I am always curious to see how the others are living:)
Interesting photos! I love those flowers!
I think the way your home looks like says a lot about your personality, and maybe also about the way you dress. And these entrances are lovely, they make a really good first impression. I think a door is kind of like meeting a new person. Standing at the front door, you have an idea of how the house may look like inside. When meeting a person, you look at his/her style and first impression and believe you know how the rest is going to be.
It is all about the first impression!! However, people tend to turn out quite different from what you first expected, both in positive and negative directions.
Love you blog, and hope you won't be too bored reading my long comment haha.
