It's A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood - Abbot Kinney, Venice

LA is so replete with wonderful neighborhoods each with an essence all their own... The neighborhoods are often defined by a main strip just waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. Abbot Kinney is an eclectic strip in Venice Beach. It's a little bit hippy, a little bit arty, a dash fancy and a lot enticing! The mix of galleries, boutiques, restaurants, antique shops, and floral shops beckon you to come browse and spend! A few shops I never miss are Undrest by the Sea, Heist and Bountiful (the first two of which I was too busy shopping to consider photographing!).  My cousin, sister and I found some wonderful goodies, ate an INCREDIBLE meal at our favorite restaurant JGelina (tomorrow's post), and generally ambled along all while breathing in the glorious sea air!

I hope you enjoyed our little jaunt and got a sense of how wonderful it is to spend an afternoon on Abbot Kinney!

just stumbled on your blog and these photos are great! I'm moving to LA in a few months and I'm really nervous, I've never been there and I feel like it's just a sprawling city beast so I'm excited to see there are some vintagey neighborhoods.

visit me and say hello!

Love your blog.))

I now spend a survey of bloggers with such questions.
1. Why did you create a blog?
2. For whom you taking him? Want to be popular?
3. How long will it keep going?

Ahh this is my hood! I love Abbot Kinney. Just walking around, I'm inspired by all the art and fashion on a daily basis. I don't know if I'll ever be able to leave! Gjelina is pretty fab too. xx

It always seems like there are tons of things to do down in SoCal. Thanks for sharing the experience. Looks like a great place to get lost in for a little while. Take Care.

They say you can only ever be a completely New York person or an LA person. Being as I'm moving the former next year for college and am here for now, I think I'd fall into that category. But California does have its own draw- largely the space and the weather is GORGEOUS. Fabulous pictures!
