What a SPECTACULAR way to spend a Sunday! My dear friend Erica and I began by fueling our energy with a brunch at the Kelly Wearstler-designed Viceroy in Santa Monica. We needed to get our strength up in order to do some damage at what turned out to be a very successful day of "shopping/spending". The Vintage Fashion Expo is five times a year in San Francisco and LA and if you missed it this time around, start saving your pennies for October... I met some fantastic dealers who came from all over the country and have great style, a great aesthetic and very friendly dispositions. I'm not big on posting my outfits but I may be tempted to put some looks together in the future - that's how excited I am by my finds! http://www.vintageexpo.com/articles.htm
The Santa Monica Civic Auditorium - location for the expo
I feel terrible I didn't get cards from every dealer, I was a little too distracted with shopping! These girls had very reasonably priced and well curated booths, and they were adorable... http://www.etsy.com/shop/lovestreetvintage; http://www.etsy.com/shop/dollyrockervintage
I knew I'd heard of Valentino before - he and his "Zoot Suit Connection" were featured on Style.com a few years back. I will definitely have to step away from the pool & stop in next time I am in Vegas.
This dealer had such a flair for merchandising... I wish I knew which business card was hers...

I usually like to end with desert - in this case, this Zandra Rhodes confection!
As you can probably tell from this mess of pics I am still coming down from my shopping buzz... hope you enjoyed them half as much as I did shooting them!
