There is an editorial in the April issue of Vogue that has been distracting me to the point of near obsession for the last couple weeks... To me it epitomizes cutting edge design. It encompasses what I have always felt to be congruent in the world of design... The layout features gorgeous clothes, stylized everyday household items, and accessories that look like they're from the past but clearly belong in the future. The thing is, whenever I am really smitten with something I feel an urge to draw it. I'm not sure why that is, but afterwards it's almost like I have ingested the images and transposed them into my own world (drawn with my pens, in my sketchbooks) and now they belong to me. (Yeah right!) Now that I have this blog I have another outlet in which to purge or express my obsessions and distractions. Thank you for your part in the process!
These Bang & Olufsen earphones have a futuristic art deco feel to them and they remind me of The Emerald City - so I replaced her irises with visions of Oz
